The valve-train has a sliding cam (7) mounted on a rotatably mounted intake camshaft (6) such that the cam is axially displaceable on the camshaft for actuating gas exchange valves of a combustion engine. Spatially and functionally separated portions are respectively formed on the camshaft and the cam for centering the cam on the camshaft regardless of axial displacement of the cam relative to the camshaft and for transmission of torque from the camshaft to the cam. The camshaft is arranged in a camshaft housing (4) for controlling inlet valves (5) of the engine.
