The method involves separating particles in liquid flowing in channel (10) through main flux (50) generated by magnet (30) which is conducted with the channel. A separation channel (20) which is parallel to channel is disconnected from the main flux. The magnetic force field in the form of magnetic portion is acted perpendicular to flow direction of fluid. The separation channel is separated from the channel by a wall (40). Openings (41) are formed through which to-be-separated particles are deflected in separation channel.
