PURPOSE: A photo-electric compression waste box is provided to minimize the size of a waste box with the maximum capacity thereof and to reduce maintenance costs for collecting waste. CONSTITUTION: A photo-electric compression waste box comprises an outer container(100), a photovoltaic cell(200), a foldable member, a foldable compression member, and a controller. The outer container comprises an outer input port. The photovoltaic cell converts light energy to electric energy. The foldable member is folded or unfolded. The foldable compression member is driven by the electric energy and compresses waste. The controller controls the operation of the foldable compression member and the photovoltaic cell.
