<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printed matter capable of discriminating genuineness of securities, such as a bank note, a stock certificate, a bond, various certificates, and important documents, and to provide a method of authenticating the printed matter. <P>SOLUTION: The printed matter includes at least one image on a substrate, has a center point for each image, in which a plurality of concentric printing element units centered on the center point are concentrically arranged, the respective concentric image units are concentrically arranged so that the plurality of printing elements have at least two kinds of intervals according to information to be embedded in an area between a starting circle having a first radius from the center point and an ending circle having a second radius, and a frequency component according to the information to be embedded is extracted when analyzing the frequency with respect to the area formed of the plurality of concentric printing element units. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
