<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect an inclination of a liquid droplet (inclined jetting) of each nozzle in a jetting direction. <P>SOLUTION: An ink jet printer includes: an inkjet head 4 which moves in a scanning direction; and a jetting state inspection unit 6 which inspects a jetting state of the ink jet head 4. The jetting state inspection unit 6 includes a vibration plate 30 with a landing surface 30a which is opposite a liquid droplet jetting surface of the inkjet head 4 and to which liquid droplets jetted from a plurality of nozzles 16 is landed; and a piezoelectric element 31 which detects whether a liquid droplet has landed on the landing surface 30a of the vibration plate 30. Furthermore, edges 33, 34 of the vibration plate 30 extend in a direction orthogonal to a scanning direction with respect to the direction of the conveyance of recording paper (direction of the arrangement of the nozzles 16). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
