<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a protective structure that can reduce a risk of breakage of onboard equipment due to a collision against a vehicle body reinforcing member on the occurrence of a lateral collision. <P>SOLUTION: The protective structure for an inverter 20 which is mounted on the periphery of a steering stability brace 24, includes a protective member 30 that is mounted to a facing surface in the inverter 20 facing the steering stability brace 24 such that, when the inverter 20 moves to the vehicle body reinforcing member side by receiving force from a lateral side, the protective member contacts the steering stability brace 24 before the electronic equipment does.
