<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a splicing jig in which a connection tape is laminated together reliably and can be prevented from being peeled off, and to provide a splicing method. <P>SOLUTION: The splicing jig splices a carrier tape having a housing part for housing an electronic component, and two supply tapes having a cover tape covering the housing part, by a connection tape. The splicing jig comprises a lower base which supports the two supply tapes having a connection surface connected by the connection tape from below, an upper base having a pressing member which presses the upper part of the connection surface from above, and a contact means for moving the upper and lower bases relatively and bringing the pressing member into contact with the connection surface. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
