<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology which contributes to avoiding a phenomenon that compressed air remains in a hammering tool. <P>SOLUTION: This hammering tool 100 includes: a hammering piston 123 having a hammering unit 125 for hammering a stop; a hammering cylinder 121; a battery 110; a motor 111; a compression device 130 driven by the motor 111, a compressed air supply path 135; an opening/closing device 137 of the compressed air supply path 135; and control members 103a, 141 for controlling driving/stopping the motor 111. The hammering tool also includes an atmosphere release path 153 which makes the compression chamber 131a of the compression device 130 or the cylinder 121 communicate with the atmosphere.
