A cylinder head gasket comprises a intermediate member sandwiched between main members (1, 4) on both sides. The intermediate member comprises first intermediate members (2) and a second intermediate member (3) which is separated from the first intermediate members (2) and is a separate member from the first intermediate members (2). The first intermediate members (2) are metallic plates having peripheral edge portions (21) which each surround each of cylinder holes (12) with a predetermined width and which have beads (22) formed on the peripheral edge portions (21) and surrounding the cylinder holes (12). The metallic plates are separately disposed at the cylinder holes (12) or are formed integrally while the cylinder holes (12) are connected. The second intermediate member (3) is a metallic plate disposed on the outer side of the first intermediate members (2) and having oil holes (16) and bolt holes (15). The thickness of the first intermediate members (2) is set to be greater than the thickness of the second intermediate member (3). As a result of the configuration, the cylinder head gasket can excellently follow the lift of the cylinder head, the lift of the cylinder head can be prevented from the gasket side, and the cylinder head gasket uses a reduced amount of material. |
