One state detection unit detects an abnormal state or normal state pertaining to the charging/discharging of a battery cell group of one battery module, and generates one detection signal indicating the detected state. Another state detection unit detects an abnormal state or normal state pertaining to the charging/discharging of another battery cell group of another battery module, and generates another detection signal indicating the detected state. The one detection signal generated by the one state detection unit is transmitted outside by one computation processing device. The other detection signal generated by the other state detection unit is transmitted outside by another computation processing device. The one detection signal generated by the one state detection unit is transmitted through a signal line to the other computation processing device and/or the other state detection unit.
