<p>The "bed-rail shelf" can be described as "a bed-rail with storage space in the form of a shelf integrated in the bed-rail." Through the internal construction (Fig. 2 and Fig. 3), the bed-rail shelf has a shape that provides storage space, while providing the necessary stability for the bed-rail through the way the side panels are mounted. The manner, in which the side panels and the inner structure are mounted, also provides great flexibility for the layout and design of the side panels. Variations are possible by applying the inner technical construction. A variety of materials (such as wood, plastic, metal, etc) can be used and the technical solution also provides various options concerning the size of the bed-rail shelf. Through its universal mounting system, the bed-rail shelf may be used on bedsides with different thicknesses and constructions (Fig. 3 and Fig. 4). It may also be used with several existing fixed bed-rails (for example ordinary "wood-rails" on bunk beds) by putting the bed-rail shelf on the outside of the existing bed-rail.</p> |
