<p>The method of preparing single- or multi-layer, woven, knitted and/or crocheted metal-, precious metal- or alloy grids, comprises deforming or molding a wire (wire with non-circular peripheral shape) with a diameter of 10-200 mu m via pulling, rolling, pressing or shape-changing radiation to produce a shaped wire (wire with non-circular peripheral shape), where a die is used for forming the shaped wire. In a part of the manufacturing process, the shaped wire: with symmetrical and/or unsymmetrical tilting and/or polygon shape is used; and with elliptic peripheral shape is used. The peripheral shape of the wire periodically or non-periodically varies or rotates with its longitudinal axis in the form of a helix. The deformation or molding step is carried out using coated tools and/or ionizing radiation. In the part of the manufacturing process, specifically shaped molded bricks are used or a treatment is carried out using corrosive substances to produce the shape of wires with diameters of 10-200 mu m. Independent claims are included for: (1) a method of forming a shaped wire; and (2) a single- or multi-layer, woven, knitted and/or crocheted metal-, precious metal- or alloy grid.</p> |
