Provided is an absorbent article for pets that is capable of suitably covering the end of the urinary tract of a pet by means of standing gathering portions, without placing an undue burden on the body of the pet. This absorbent article (1) for pets, which is attached to a pet by wrapping the absorbent article (1) around the waist of the pet, is equipped with: a liquid-permeable front surface layer (2); a liquid-impermeable back surface layer (3); and an absorbent body (4) disposed between the front surface layer (2) and the back surface layer (3). The absorbent article (1) is formed in a rectangular shape having an opposing pair of end portions (12, 13), and a pair of opposing side portions (17, 18) that are perpendicular to the pair of end portions (12, 13). The absorbent article (1) is further equipped with a first standing gathering portion (14) and a second standing gathering portion (15) that are respectively arranged on the front surface layer (2) side of the pair of side portions (17, 18), and that stand out from the front surface layer (2). The first standing gathering portion (14) is configured so as to be easily collapsible towards the outside of the absorbent article (1) in the width direction (WD). |
