<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To more precisely acquire a color shift amount and to effectively correct a magnification chromatic aberration when the magnification chromatic aberration is corrected by an image processing. <P>SOLUTION: An image processing system includes: an edge detecting section detecting an edge from image data formed of color signals of a plurality of colors; an on-axis color aberration edge detecting section detecting the edge considered to include an on-axis color aberration from the edges; a color shift amount acquiring section acquiring the color shift amount in the edge; and a correction section for correcting color aberration by using the correction amount based on the color shift amount. The on-axis color aberration edge detecting section detects the edge in which a bleeding amount of at least one color signal is a threshold or above and the bleeding amount of at least one another color signal becomes less than the threshold among the color signals of the plurality of colors in the edge of image data.
