<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide: a gas diffusion electrode avoiding a catalyst layer from blocking a pore of a gas diffusion layer and reducing interfacial resistance between the catalyst layer and an electrolyte membrane; and a method for manufacturing the gas diffusion electrode. <P>SOLUTION: A catalyst ink can be prevented from entering a pore of a gas diffusion layer 3 by peeling off a catalyst layer coated on a peeling base material to dispose on the gas diffusion layer 3. In addition, interfacial resistance between the catalyst layer 2 and an electrolyte membrane can be reduced by forming the surface of the catalyst layer in contact with on an electrolyte membrane side to be a surface 2a containing an ionomer constituent more than that in the surface in contact with the gas diffusion layer. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
