<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a projector or the like capable of appropriately executing determination associated with authentication even if a setting of a built-in clock is not normal when the authentication is executed by using the built-in clock and an electronic certificate so as to generate an image. <P>SOLUTION: A projector 100 is configured so as to include: a clock determining section 130 for determining whether or not a setting of a built-in clock 170 is normal; a certificate determining section 140 for determining whether or not a received electronic certificate 124 is valid based on the setting of the built-in clock 170; a communicating section 110 that executes communication for authentication with a device to be communicated and receives image information 122 from the device to be communicated when the received electronic certificate 124 is determined to be valid by the certificate determining section 140; a controller 150 for causing the communicating section 110 to execute the communication for the authentication irrespective of whether or not the received electronic certificate 124 is valid when the setting of the built-in clock 170 is determined to not be normal by the clock determining section 130; and an image generating section 160 for generating an image based on the image information 122. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
