<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for calculating AC resistance of a coil, capable of accurately and quickly calculating the AC resistance of the coil. <P>SOLUTION: A method for calculating AC resistance of a coil includes the steps of: inputting data (S1); calculating DC resistance Rdc of a wire of a coil wound N times (S2); calculating resistance Rs caused by a skin effect of the wire; assuming that the coil wound N times is N coils wound one time, calculating magnetic intensity Hn acting on a wire of the coil wound one time from the other (N-1) coils wound one time (S4); calculating an eddy current loss Pe of the wire based on the magnetic intensity Hn (S5); calculating resistance Rp caused by a proximity effect of the wire based on the eddy current loss (S6); and calculating a total of the DC resistance Rdc, the resistance Rs and the resistance Rp to use the total as the AC resistance of the coil (S7). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
