<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an aqueous dispersion adhesive composition that is useful for producing adhesive sheets, which are highly adhesive to rough surfaces and wherein a rough surface adhesiveness is well balanced with other properties, and for other uses, and to provide an adhesive sheet. <P>SOLUTION: The aqueous dispersion adhesive composition comprises, in a 100:6-35 mass ratio, an acrylic polymer pA<SB POS="POST">X</SB>and an acrylic polymer pA<SB POS="POST">Y</SB>with a Mw of 1×10<SP POS="POST">3</SP>-50×10<SP POS="POST">3</SP>and a glass transition temperature of ≤-15°C. The adhesive sheet 1 has adhesive layers 21, 22 formed of the aqueous dispersion adhesive composition. The pA<SB POS="POST">X</SB>has 1C-18C alkyl (meth)acrylate M1<SB POS="POST">X</SB>as the core. The pA<SB POS="POST">Y</SB>has a copolymer composition containing at least 1C-18C alkyl (meth)acrylate M1<SB POS="POST">Y</SB>and functional group-containing monomers M2<SB POS="POST">Y</SB>as constituent monomers thereof.
