<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily configure a drop off prevention mechanism by a centering ring and a lock ring. <P>SOLUTION: A lock ring 7 is disposed in a lock ring groove 5 formed in the inner peripheral surface of the socket 2 of a reception side pipe body 1, and a centering ring 12 is disposed in the outer circumference of the insertion port 4 of an insertion side pipe body 3 to freely slide in a pipe axial direction. The centering ring 12 includes a ring part 13 and an insertion piece 14 erected in one axial direction from the ring part 13. The insertion port 4 is inserted into the socket 2, and the centering ring 12 is pushed in so that the insertion piece 14 may pass through a guide groove 6 formed on the socket opening side of the lock ring groove 5. Then, the insertion piece 14 is inserted between the lock ring 7 and the inner peripheral surface of the socket 2, and the lock ring 7 is reduced in diameter. This diameter reduction is made uniform toward the pipe axis center by a plurality of insertion pieces 14.
