<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fault tolerant system etc. which can prepare a new server when a number of jobs to be simultaneously processed exceeds a number of jobs which is able to be processed by a current server, and does not need a standby sever. <P>SOLUTION: A server 1 and a server 2 separately start hypervisors to build a plurality of virtual machines. Each hypervisor assigns a primary virtual machine and a secondary virtual machine so that each of the servers has one or more primary virtual machines and one or more secondary virtual machines, and assigns different processes to virtual machines in a single server. If it is determined that a failure has occurred in any one of the servers, a server having a secondary virtual machine which is a pair to the primary virtual machine in the server in which the failure has occurred, grades up the secondary virtual machine to a primary virtual machine. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
