[Problem] To provide a method for manufacturing an active material that is capable of improving the discharge capacity of a lithium-ion rechargeable battery. [Solution] This method for manufacturing an active material comprises: a first step for heating a mixed liquid containing a lithium source, a phosphate source, a vanadium source and water under pressure at 150 to 190°C to generate a precursor in the mixed liquid, and then adjusting the pH of the mixed liquid containing the precursor to 6 to 8; and a second step, following the first step, for generating the active material by heating the precursor to 425 to 650°C. |
