After it is determined that there is an abnormality in the signal of a range signal output section, the abnormality determining section cancels the abnormality determination if only a drive range signal is output from the range signal output section, and maintains the abnormality determination if only a non-drive range signal is output. The second hydraulic control section forms an oil passage so as to supply oil to the friction fastening element during the abnormality determination or if only the drive range signal is being output, and forms an oil passage so as to discharge the oil from the friction fastening element before the abnormality determination or if only the non-drive range signal is being output. |
