The Valve train has a cam shaft (6) that is provided with axially moveable sliding cam (7). A centering section (16) is formed on the cam shaft. A torque-transmitting portion (17) is formed between the cam shaft and sliding cam. A clearance portion (25) is formed axially between the centering section and torque transmitting portion. The torque transmission between camshaft and sliding cam is ensured due to relative twist movement of camshaft and sliding cam.
