[Problem] To improve safety and reliability by avoiding dew drops from forming on the surface of a battery cell. [Solution] A power source device provided with a battery stack (5) formed by stacking a plurality of square battery cells (1), and a cover case (16) for covering the exterior of the battery stack (5), wherein: the cover case (16) is provided with an inner case (21) of which the top and end surfaces are open and which is formed in the shape of a U when viewed from the cross-section, a cover part(24) for closing the opening portion at the top surface of the inner case (21), and a pair of end plates (3) for closing the opening portion at the end surfaces of the inner case (21); the top surface is closed by means of the cover part (24) and both end surfaces are closed by means of the end plates (3) while the battery stack (5) is inserted into the opening portion of the inner case (21); and a shock absorbing member (18) is disposed between the battery stack (5) and the cover case (16). As a consequence, the gap between the battery stack (5) and the cover case (16) is eliminated by means of the shock absorbing member (18) and it is possible to prevent the battery stack (5) from suffering from the adverse effects caused by dew forming at the aforementioned gap.
