<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic musical instrument which is capable of sufficiently imitating features of a stringed instrument like a guitar by, when a prescribed condition is satisfied, automatically producing sounds like those in a mono mode where a plurality of musical sounds are not simultaneously produced, even in a poly mode. <P>SOLUTION: If a pitch difference between a previous sound production instruction and a current sound production instruction is equal to or lower than a prescribed value and a time difference between them is equal to or shorter than a prescribed time in the poly mode, such control is performed that musical sounds having a pitch corresponding to the previous sound production instruction are not generated subsequently and musical sounds having a pitch corresponding to the current sound production instruction are generated. Therefore, a player can produce sounds like those in the mono mode, which imitate performance of a stringed instrument like a guitar, even in the poly mode without paying attention not to simultaneously produce a plurality of musical sounds. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
