<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To automatically detect a center offset position of the cap tread in a green tire. <P>SOLUTION: The method is provided for measuring an offset of the cap tread in the green tire. The method has a step of measuring a shape of the green tire placed on a rotatable drum; a step of calculating a reference height h of the green tire based on measurement results; a step of calculating a width of the cap tread in the reference height h at a serial side and an anti-serial side; and a step of deciding abnormal conditions of the center offset of the cap tread based on the calculated width of the cap tread. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
