<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the following problem: when a combination of pulps having different alkali metal hydroxide solution absorption rates is used as a raw material, contact conditions such as a contact temperature or a contact time have to be changed frequently, depending on the absorption rate of the pulps currently processed, and thereby the productivity is reduced. <P>SOLUTION: A method for producing alkali cellulose includes at least the steps of: bringing two or more types of pulps having different absorption rates of an alkali metal hydroxide solution into contact with the alkali metal hydroxide solution to obtain a contact product; and draining the contact product. In the two or more types of pulps, the highest absorption rate of the alkali metal hydroxide solution is not more than 4.0 times of the lowest absorption rate. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
