<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To securely detect not only information on a pressing-down position, but also pressing-in force corresponding to external force, and to prevent dust, water, etc., from entering. <P>SOLUTION: A pressing force detection sensor 100 includes a frame-shaped base member 55 having an opening part at an in-plane center region, one pair of or a plurality of pairs of first and second electrode patterns 51 and 52 provided on the base member side by side at a predetermined interval, and an elastic conductor 53 arranged between a first electrode pattern and a second electrode pattern. The elastic conductor electrically interconnects the first electrode pattern and second electrode pattern according to external force. The pressing force detection sensor further includes a coating member 54 which covers the elastic conductor and first and second electrode patterns.
