<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve precision in measuring a temperature of a fixing member. <P>SOLUTION: A fixing device (F) comprises: a contact move member (29) for moving between a pressing position where a fixing area (Q5) between a heating and fixing member(Fh) and a pressing and fixing member (Fp) are contacted with a preset contact pressure and a pressure reducing position where the pressure of the fixing area (Q5) is lower than the contact pressure; and a temperature detection member (31) which is arranged so as to be opposed to a position corresponding to an intermediate position (P3) along a circumferential direction of the heating and fixing member(Fh) toward a position (P1) where an extension line of a first virtual line (33) for connecting the center of the fixing area (Q5) and the rotation center of a cylinder of the heating and fixing member(Fh) and the outer surface of the heating and fixing member(Fh) intersect with each other and a position (P3) where a second virtual line (34) orthogonal to the first virtual line (33) and the outer surface of the heating and fixing member (Fh) intersect with each other and detects a temperature of the heating and fixing member(Fh). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
