A display capable of obtaining high contrast and an electronic unit including the display are provided. The display includes: a liquid crystal display panel including a liquid crystal layer and a light reflective layer; and an optical laminate disposed on the liquid crystal display panel, in which the optical laminate includes a first retardation layer, a light diffuser layer, a second retardation layer, and a polarization layer in order from a side closer to the liquid crystal display panel, the first retardation layer is a negative C-plate, and the second retardation layer is aλ/4 plate or a combination of aλ/4 plate and aλ/2 plate arranged in order from a side closer to the liquid crystal display panel.
