The present invention relates to an electric motor having a power generation function for charging a battery using a current, which is generated by allowing the electric motor to be driven using a battery while generating power, or for re-using the current as an energy source for driving the electric motor. To this end, the present invention comprises: an empty cylinder-shaped housing (100); a stator (200), which is provided with permanent magnets (210) having different poles along the circumferential direction of the inner circumferential surface of the housing (100), for forming a magnetic field therebetween; and a rotor (300) comprising a rotary shaft (301) having both sides thereof being coupled with bearings (303) so as to be rotatably installed while maintaining a predetermined gap (t) with the inner circumferential surface of the stator (200), one side of the rotary shaft (301) being provided with an input portion (310) that is electrically connected to first brush (311) and first commutators (313), and the other side of the rotary shaft (301) being provided with an output portion (320) in which second commutators (321) and a second brush (323) are electrically connected, thereby generating rotational driving force from the other side of the rotary shaft (301) while producing a current at the same time. |
