The display unit (OP) has a light barrier (LS) that is located between the illumination unit (BL) and focusing unit (OE). A matrix-shaped electronic controllable monochromatic LCD layer is provided on the light barrier. A nature sensor determines the surface structure and the surface color of projection substrate. A control unit actuates the LED's provided in the illumination unit, according to the result of nature sensor and the determination of optical marks on the projection surface of light barrier.
