The liner (10) has a deformable lining element (11) i.e. armrest, arranged on a receiving element (12) such that the lining element is partially deformed into a cavity (13), when an impact body (14) is collided on the lining element. A material thinning part (15) is provided in a horizontal running region (11a) of the lining element to influence the deformation behavior of the lining element, such that the region of the lining element is movable laterally to an effective direction (F) of force during application of the force on the lining element.
