The arrangement (10) has mold clamping elements (14, 16) that are slidably mounted on base (12). The locking elements (38,40,44) are provided in mold clamping elements. A drive units (30,32,34,36) displaces locking elements from retracted position to extended position so that locking elements are engaged into locking devices (52,54). The drive unit includes driving cylinder having driving piston, connected to main piston (84) of main cylinder. The driving piston is supported on the main piston and the closing force is applied to mold by main cylinder when forming the mold.
