<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus that detects a position of a test pattern by preventing an effect of a sheet material. <P>SOLUTION: An apparatus 100 for adjusting an ejection timing of a liquid droplet includes: a reading means 30 having a light emitting means for irradiating a recording medium with light and a light receiving means for receiving a reflection light from the recording medium; a relative movement means 313 for moving the reading means at a constant speed; a second detected data acquisition means 611 for acquiring a second detection data of the reflection light received by the light receiving means, while the reading means is relatively moved to the recording medium, before the test pattern is formed; a first detected data acquisition means 612 for acquiring a first detection data received by the light receiving means, when the light moves on a test pattern of a scanning position substantially the same scanning position, after the test pattern is formed; a subtraction processing means 614 for subtracting a minimal value of the first detection data from the first and second detection data; and a signal correction means 615 for calculating a ratio of the first detection to the second detection data. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
