PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of identifying a causative gene locus in terms of experimental genetics without using hybridization even in cases where there are a plurality of variations in a genome and it is not clear which of the variations contributes to abnormalities of vital functions.
SOLUTION: It is possible to identify a causative gene locus that causes abnormalities of vital functions, by the processes of (1) establishing a pluripotent stem cell from an animal body cell having a genetic variation causing abnormal vital functions, (2) subjecting the pluripotent stem cell established to meiosis, and establishing a diploid pluripotent stem cell from the cell in the process of meiosis, (3) analyzing the cell functions of the diploid pluripotent stem cell obtained, and (4) identifying a gene locus linking to abnormal cell functions in the diploid pluripotent stem cell obtained.
COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
