<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an engine starting device that can easily release a handle body from a starting shaft when the starting shaft is reversely rotated. <P>SOLUTION: This engine starting device includes a hollow-shaped inner 221, an installation shaft 212 inserted into the inner 221, rotatably supported by the inner 221 and the handle body 213 and connected to the starting shaft 23 of an engine 1, a claw 223A whose one end side is rotatably supported by the handle body 213 and whose other end is engageable with an outer peripheral cutout part 221 formed in the inner 221 and an inner shaft cutout part 212A formed on the installation shaft 212, and a spring 223B for energizing the other end side of the claw 223A in the direction for approaching the installation shaft 212. The claw 223A is formed so that a rotational radius R of a corner part C in closest vicinity to the installation shaft 212 of the other end of the claw 223A, becomes smaller than a rotational radius of a part except for the corner part C of the other end of the claw 223A. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
