The purpose of the present invention is to provide a method for correcting an alignment film, by which a defect of an alignment film can be corrected more easily. A method for correcting a defect (50) of an alignment film (30) of a liquid crystal panel (10), wherein the defect (50) of the alignment film (30) is detected after forming the alignment film (30) on the surface of a substrate and then a metal film (35) is deposited on the detected defect (50) by laser CVD. By depositing the metal film (35) by means of laser CVD, the quality of the liquid crystal panel can be improved in a short time.
