An aircraft window has an inner window assembly (23) retained on an outer window assembly (33) by a plurality of interlocking clips (38) and receptacles (34) positioned around the perimeter (90) of the window. The interlocking clips (38) and receptacles (34) produce a retention force that compresses a seal (28) against an outer structural window (26) to seal an internal cavity between the inner and outer window assemblies.
