The lens (100) has a limiting device i.e. microprocessor (104), for temporally limiting ability to map an object on a real image. The microprocessor controls a diaphragm i.e. iris (110), and closes and opens the diaphragm according to predetermined time and reception of a signal. The microprocessor transmits a signal to an electro-chromic optic element to reduce transmission of the electro-chromic optic element according to the predetermined time. A power supply module (106) supplies operating and control voltages for the microprocessor and a motor (108). The microprocessor realizes power supply for generating the control signal through a radio frequency identification (RFID) chip. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a method for operating an objective lens (2) a method for operating a camera.
