Painted printing paper for use with e.g. small household inkjet printer, has ink receiving layer arranged on side of base paper, where major ingredients of ink receiving layer are pigments and bonding agents

The paper has an ink receiving layer arranged on a side of a surface-sizing pressing base paper, where major ingredients of the ink receiving layer are pigments and bonding agents. The pigments are selected from a group consisting of calcium carbonate and/or kaolin. The pressing base paper is formed by a glue pressing process using a glue pressing solution and comprises synthetic silicon dioxide and surface-sizing agent, where average particle diameter of the synthetic silicon dioxide lies within a range of 0.3-7 micrometer. An independent claim is also included for a method for manufacturing a painted printing paper.
