PURPOSE: A control device of an electromechanical brake and a control method thereof are provided to performing proper braking by using interfaces in the electronic control unit of an electromechanical braking device. CONSTITUTION: A control device of an electromechanical brake comprises a primary interface, a motor control unit, and a secondary interface. The primary interface receives hydraulic valve order values from a central electronic control unit. The motor control unit calculates current control values or position control values by using the information from the primary interface. The secondary interface operates a motor by transferring the calculated control values from the motor control unit.
