The purpose of the present invention is to provide a vacuum degassig apparatus having a structure with which an extension pipe made of refractory metal and immersed in molten glass can be replaced more easily than a conventional structure. The present invention has a vacuum housing, a vacuum tank, an induction pipe and a delivery pipe formed by arranging a plurality of bricks, and an extension pipe made of refractory metal and connected to at least either one of the induction pipe or the delivery pipe. The extension pipe has, at a portion in which one end of at least either one of the induction pipe or the delivery pipe is connected to a through hole disposed in an external wall of the vacuum housing separately, a base end part, a main part continued to the base end part, and a flange for sealing formed so as to extend to the outer circumference of the main part. The extension pipe is fixed removably to the external wall through a fixing means disposed in the outer circumference of the flange for sealing at a position where the base end part is inserted in an end brick constituting an end opening part of the induction pipe or an end opening part of the delivery pipe and at a position where the flange for sealing covers the through holes of the external wall.
