PURPOSE: A system for providing a content display service, a method thereof, and a portable terminal thereof are provided to supply a service effect similar to an MMS(Multimedia Messaging Service) by transmitting both a message and contents to a receiving terminal. CONSTITUTION: A first communication unit(121) receives a message from a first transmitting terminal(100). A first content confirming unit(132) confirms contents related to the received message. A first display unit(122) displays the confirmed contents. A first storage unit(123) stores contents received from one or more content providing servers. The first content confirming unit searches for contents related to the message.
