<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a failure diagnosis device for a fuel injection valve where the number of fuel pressure sensors is reduced and that can diagnose whether there is a failure in the fuel injection valve. <P>SOLUTION: The failure diagnosis device includes a pressure restoration determining unit S20, based on a first fuel pressure sensor, which is mounted on a first fuel injection valve, determines whether pressure return under which a fuel pressure in the first fuel injection valve increases by an amount equal to or higher than a predetermined value is generated after a second fuel injection valve provided with no fuel pressure sensor terminates a fuel injection. When it is determined that the pressure return occurs (S20: YES), it is determined that the second fuel injection valve is not in an abnormal state that it continues with ejection and so can not terminate fuel injection (S21). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
