<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel reformer that appropriately determines the deterioration of a catalyst and stops fuel reforming in fuel reforming means when the catalyst has been deteriorated. <P>SOLUTION: A reforming catalyst is housed in a catalyst chamber 26 of a reforming section 20. Fuel and air are received in the reforming section 20, and a partial oxidation reaction and a steam reforming reaction on the fuel are therein caused to take place to carry out fuel reforming. A heat conductivity meter 40 detects the heat conductivity of a reforming gas discharged from the reforming section 26. When a heat conductivity of the reforming gas detected by the heat conductivity meter 40 exhibits a predetermined reduction, the deterioration of the catalyst is determined and thus fuel reforming is stopped in the reforming section 26. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
