DISPLAY DEVICE WITH TOUCH PANEL, CONTROL METHOD FOR EVENT SWITCHING AND PROGRAM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display device with a touch panel which lays little burden on a user in event switching and with which the user does not need to be conscious of a current mode.

SOLUTION: An electronic information board 10 equipped with a touch panel includes a coordinate detection part 11 for detecting a coordinate point on a display surface. A dedicated pen 20 includes a dedicated pen detection part 21 for detecting physical contact with the display surface. A processing device body 30 includes: a timer 354 for measuring elapsed time from when the coordinate detection part 11 detects the coordinate point; and a signal processing part 351 which issues an event 1 when the dedicated pen detection part 21 detects that the dedicated pen has touched the display surface, and issues an event 2 when the elapsed time of the timer 354 exceeds a predetermined time, in a state where the dedicated pen detection part 21 does not detect that the dedicated pen has touched the display surface.
