PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a public power supply system where power can be used safely in a public place.

SOLUTION: A center server 31 and a communication terminal 32 making a power supply request are connected to an electric outlet 11 through Internet 33 while the electric outlet 11 to which power is supplied from a power distribution line 13 is installed beforehand in a predetermined public place. When a user makes a power supply request from the communication terminal 32 to the center server 31 through the Internet 33 to supply power to the electric outlet 11, the center server 31 outputs a current supply command to an electric current control part 14 through a communication network (Internet 29 and telephone network 30), and the electric current control part 14 permits conduction of the electric current supplied to the electric outlet 11 when the current supply command is output.
