PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a content distribution system for providing content after converting it to a format which corresponds to a client terminal.

SOLUTION: A content distribution server in content distribution of the present invention comprises; function information acquisition means 114 acquiring function information which describes functions of a terminal device 150 which requires utilization of content; element extraction means 120 extracting content elements included in the content whose utilization is required; comparison means 118 determining available elements in the terminal device from the function information and comparing them with the extracted content elements to determine whether or not each of the content elements is available in the terminal device; output determination means 122 determining whether or not the content needs to be decomposed in order to distribute available content elements which the terminal device 150 requires; and decomposition means 124 decomposing the content into each content element when decomposition is necessary.
