摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a photoelectric conversion and amplification device configured to receive a burst optical signal which implements a quick response, a wide dynamic range and high sensitivity in a simple configuration. <P>SOLUTION: A photoelectric conversion and amplification device 1 comprises: an avalanche photodiode 11 for converting an optical signal to an electrical signal; an amplification circuit element 12 for amplifying the electrical signal; a bias voltage terminal 13 for inputting a constant voltage for applying a bias voltage between an anode A and a cathode C of the avalanche photodiode 11; and a bias circuit configuring a low pass filter comprising a bias resistance 14 and a bias capacitance 15. The value of the bias resistance 14 and the value of the bias capacitance 15 are set such that within a specified time range of a change in the strength of a burst optical signal received by the avalanche photodiode 11, a bit error rate of the burst optical signal after the strength change transitions to a specified bit error rate. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT
